COLUMBIA, Mo., July 23, 2020 – Tom Tisone, MBA, CMPE, has been appointed as chief executive officer of Rusk Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliation of Encompass Health and University of Missouri  Health Care. In his position as CEO, Tisone will oversee all of the day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality at the 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, located at 315 Business Loop 70 West. He assumes the position on Aug. 24, 2020.

Tisone is a familiar face to MU Health Care. Since 2018, he served as the executive director of strategic initiatives, and prior to that held the role of director of network affiliations at MU Health Care since 2014. Concurrently to both positions, he served as the executive director for the Health Network of Missouri.

Earlier in his career, Tisone held a variety of other health care leadership positions in both the public and private sector, including with MU Health Care and McKesson Specialty Health-U.S. Oncology Network.

Tisone is an MU alumnus, where he received his bachelor’s degree, and he also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from William Woods University in Fulton. He is a Certified Medical Practice Executive through the American College of Medical Practice Executives, MGMA.
