Kevin Sola was enjoying a bicycle ride when he was hit by a vehicle traveling 45 miles per hour, and woke up in the ICU three weeks later. After being told he would never be able to ride a bicycle again, Kevin came to Encompass Health Tidelands to begin his recovery journey, and is now back cycling on a daily basis!

When Chad Hardee arrived at Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital at Little River, an affiliate of Encompass Health, he couldn’t stand up, raise a fork to his mouth to eat, shower or do anything for himself. On Friday – 18 days after arriving - the determined Chad walked out of the hospital on his own to a limousine and a cheering section of hospital team members and dear friends, who slyly organized the grand sendoff – complete with a law enforcement escort to his Conway home.

During National Patient Safety Week, our hospital hosted a coloring contest at a local child care center. Congratulations to 4-year-old Lila! The patients in our hospital voted her picture as one of the best, and she was one of the winners of a new bicycle helmet. Great job, Lila!
