Spinal cord injury rehabilitation

Following the admission process, patients are thoroughly evaluated to prepare for their course of rehabilitative treatment.
Using an interdisciplinary team approach, clinical experts identify the needs and goals of each spinal cord injury patient. The team then creates an individualized program that is monitored daily and updated regularly to further support the patient’s goals to return to a maximum level of independence.
Our spinal cord rehabilitation treatment plans use advanced technologies, treatments and resources to support each patient's understanding and adjustment to their unique capabilities and needs.
We provide targeted spinal cord injury programs to give patients the extra care to help them achieve their greatest outcomes. This level of care requires additional program features to benefit the patients, which may include:
  • A collaborative approach to therapy to help the patient regain their maximum independence with a focus on daily activities of living, such as bathing, dressing and wheelchair use
  • Discharge planning with your case manager to identify community resources and home assessments
  • Family and caregivers as an integral part of a patient’s care plan
  • Individualized therapy
  • Interdisciplinary team approach includes an in-house medical director, therapists, dietician, nurses and more
  • Peer counseling and support groups
