There’s an App For That: The use of technology for treatment and function.

The impact that a stroke can have on a person can be devastating and leave them with the need to regain function through therapeutic interventions and to develop methods of compensation for lost skills. Over the course of the last decade there has been an explosion of technological advances to assist therapists in addressing both of these areas with the stroke survivor. This presentation will review the applications that can be utilized to address cognitive-linguistic deficits as well as to introduce technology relevant to increasing independence in instrumental activities of daily living.
