SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Feb. 3, 2020 – Michael O'Keefe has been named CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sioux Falls, the future inpatient rehabilitation hospital currently being built by Birmingham, Alabama-based Encompass Health Corp., one of the nation's leading providers of inpatient rehabilitation services. The 40-bed hospital, which is under construction at 4700 W. 69th Street in Sioux Falls, is expected to open in the summer of 2020.

O’Keefe will be responsible for overseeing all of the hospital’s day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality.

O’Keefe comes to the Encompass Health network after serving nine years with Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen, where he held positions of CEO at an Avera Health Affiliate, and vice president of business development. He received a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from the University of South Dakota and holds membership with the American Hospital Association, the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations, Northeast South Dakota Area Health Education Center.
