Encompass Health Valley of the Sun Rehabilitation Hospital is hosting their fifth annual Amputee Running Clinic on Saturday, March 14th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clinic will be at the Prescott Intramural Field at Grand Canyon University come rain or shine, and lunch will be provided.

Registration starts at 8 a.m. Same day participants may join, but RSVP if possible. To register, complete the below online questionnaire, and provide your weight, measurement from socket to ground, and type of attachment if you know it—pyramid or block. If you do not have access to a computer, call Diane Hendrix at 623.334.5423. Be sure to include your T-shirt size in your questionnaire.

Elite amputee runner, Lacey Henderson, will be the special guest at this years clinic. She s a U.S. Paralympian and American Record Holder from Denver, Colorado. She is a former Division 1 cheerleader at the University of Denver, and works extensively with the Amputee Coalition. She currently lives and trains full time alongside other Olympians in Phoenix, Arizona.

This event is free to the public and runners of all ages can participate including family and support staff of runners. There are hotel accommodations available at Grand Canyon University Hotel at gcuhotel.com.
