Waller County deputy constable that contracted COVID-19 heads home after rehabilitation

Charles “CG” Johnson has been employed by the Waller County Sheriff’s Department for the past 30 years and now serves as a chaplain for the department. When he contracted COVID-19 on March 21, 2020, his brothers in blue supported him however they could. After his recovery from the virus, he was transferred to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sugar Land to regain strength and coordination. When it came time to return home after reaching his medical goals, his brothers in blue showed up to celebrate his success and give him a proper escort home.
