COLUMBIA, S.C., Jan. 25, 2021 - Nicole Hendricks has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbia. In her position as CEO, Hendricks will oversee all of the day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality at the 96-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, located at 2935 Colonial Drive. She assumed the position on Jan. 11, 2021.

Prior to her current role at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbia, she served as the system chief operating officer of 268-bed Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina. There, she was responsible for operational leadership of inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation services, imaging, total joint replacement and laboratory services as well as facilities, security, food and nutrition services, environmental services, real estate/contracts, physician practices, home health, urgent care, and occupational medicine. Prior to Regional Medical Center, she served as chief operations officer at AdventHealth Polk (previously Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center) in Davenport, Florida and chief operations officer of Bartow Regional Medical Center in Bartow, Florida.

Hendricks earned her bachelor’s degree in speech pathology/audiology from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and her master’s degree in health administration from Saint Louis University. She is a Fellow with the American College of Health Care Executives.
