Doctors told Darrel Slater that he wouldn’t be home before Christmas, but he was overjoyed when he was able to return home in time for Thanksgiving. After 118 days in the hospital with 96 of those being on a ventilator, Slater was transferred to MidAmerica Rehabilitation Hospital for rehabilitation following his COVID-19 recovery. During the pandemic, the MidAmerica Rehabilitation Hospital team is proud to have helped several post COVID-19 patients regain strength and function in order to return home after their COVID-19 battles.
