TEXARKANA, Texas, Oct. 5, 2022- Todd Wallace has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Texarkana. In his position as CEO, Wallace oversees the day-to-day operations, as well as patient care and quality, at the 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 515 West 12^th Street. He assumed the position in August.

Wallace first joined Encompass Health in December 2003 as a physical therapist at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Texarkana. Wallace has served in a number of leadership roles at Encompass Health, most recently as the CEO in Abilene, Texas. His accomplishments with Encompass Health include leading the Texarkana hospital in its achievement of The Joint Commission certification as a Disease Specific Care facility for strokes, hip fractures, and amputees and playing a significant role in implementing an annual stroke continuing education program.

Wallace attended Southern Arkansas University and completed his master’s degree in physical therapy at the University of Central Arkansas.
