MONTGOMERY, Ala., Oct. 26, 2022- Michelle Von Arx has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Montgomery. In her position as CEO, Von Arx oversees the day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality, at the 75-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 4465 Narrow Lane Road. She assumed the position in September.

“Michelle is an effective leader with more than 25 years of healthcare experience, and we are excited to welcome her to the Encompass Health leadership team,” said Brad Kennedy, President of Encompass Health’s South Central region. “Michelle’s experience in hospital management and leadership makes her a great fit to lead Encompass Health of Montgomery, and I am confident in her vision for the hospital.”

Prior to joining Encompass Health, Von Arx was the chief executive officer at Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She is also a proud member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, which focuses on advancing leaders and the field of healthcare leadership excellence.

Von Arx earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy and her bachelor’s degree in general studies, with a minor in psychology, from Misericordia University.
