July 13, 2026 – Amir Meshreky, chief executive officer at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Bakersfield, will continue to serve on the American Heart Association – Kern County’s 2026-2027 Board of Directors. Meshreky is also set to serve as the chapter’s 2028 Heart and Stroke Walk chair.
“It’s truly an honor to support the incredible work the American Heart Association (AHA) is doing to improve cardiovascular and stroke outcomes throughout our community,” Meshreky said. “Our team has supported AHA initiatives through community outreach, stroke awareness efforts and participation in fundraising events such as the Heart and Stroke Walk.”
As Meshreky looks forward, he aims to strengthen the partnership by increasing community awareness around stroke prevention and recovery, expanding educational opportunities for healthcare providers and community members, and encouraging greater engagement from local business and healthcare leaders to support the AHA’s mission.
In its announcement, the AHA credits the board of directors with bringing expertise in healthcare, research and strategic development to advance health and hope.
