Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of City View names next CEO

Oct. 15, 2026 – Katy Reed has been appointed chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of City View. The 77-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is located at 6701 Oakmont Blvd. and serves patients following traumatic events, including strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, and complex neurological conditions. Reed began her career with Encompass Health in 2016 and most recently served as CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cypress in Houston.

“I’ve seen the power of Encompass Health’s multidisciplinary approach on a patient’s recovery,” Reed said. “The level of care we provide is necessary to restore function and independence. I look forward to leading the dedicated hospital team at Encompass Health City View.”

Reed is experienced in developing and implementing long-term strategies that drive sustainable growth, advance patient outcomes and improve workforce stability. She has a proven track record of increasing patient admissions and reducing nursing turnover. With a background in quality and risk management, Reed is skilled at promoting clinical excellence and innovation.

Reed holds a law degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. She earned a master’s degree in biomedical ethics from Albany Medical College in New York and a bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Tennessee. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Association for Healthcare Quality.

Encompass Health City View opened to patients in 2011. The hospital holds Joint Commission Disease-Specific Care Certifications in Stroke, Brain Injury, Hip Fracture and Parkinson’s Disease Rehabilitation.
