Sept. 18, 2026 – People have always come first for Jeff Reese. As area CEO of The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, he is committed to delivering strong outcomes for patients and fostering a culture of hospital excellence for employees. With his advocacy mindset and desire to make a lasting difference in his community, the American Heart Association’s St. Louis chapter named Reese a 2026 Leaders of Impact nominee.

“This recognition is an honor,” Reese said. “Spending my time raising awareness for cardiovascular health and educating our community is time well spent. I look forward to seeing the incredible impact all the nominees will make.”

The Leaders of Impact initiative is a seven-week campaign that brings together leaders to leverage their networks in support of heart health. Nominees use their influence to educate communities about the signs and symptoms of heart disease and raise critical funding for lifesaving research.

“We know there is a connection between stroke and heart disease,” Reese said. “When I see patients in our hospital who are recovering from strokes and working through the tremendous challenges a stroke brings, I’m reminded how important it is to continue shining a spotlight on heart health.”

The campaign kicked off Sept. 17 and will conclude Nov. 4. The public can join Reese’s campaign here.
