June 18, 2026 — Takisha Lovelace has been appointed chief executive officer of The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, an affiliation of BJC HealthCare and Encompass Health, at St. Peters. The 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is located inside Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital.
“I am honored to step into the CEO role,” Lovelace said. “This rehabilitation hospital is full of highly talented and dedicated team members who continue to strengthen our longstanding commitment to the St. Peters community through exceptional patient-centered care.”
Lovelace brings more than 15 years of experience in hospital operations and oversight to the CEO role. In addition to her expertise in health system leadership and support, Lovelace is an expert in building key relationships with stakeholders and in leading cross-functional collaboration.
“Takisha will be an asset to the hospital,” said Tiffany Kiehl, president of Encompass Health's Central region. “She is a strong and knowledgeable leader. With her insight and experience, the hospital will continue to lead in patient care.”
Lovelace earned a master's degree in business administration from Webster University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Columbia College. She holds certificates in management and human resources management from Columbia College.
