At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Kentucky, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Serving Edgewood and the tristate area, we are a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain injury and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Chief Executive Officer
Jeremy joined Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth in 2017 as the chief executive officer, bringing more than a decade of executive leadership in the skilled nursing and retirement community arena. He began his career in the admissions and marketing field, and quickly progressed to executive leadership. He has proven strengths in strategic planning, hospitality, customer relations and quality assurance. Jeremy earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Purdue University and is a licensed nursing home administrator in Ohio and Kentucky.
Dr. Huller is a graduate of Xavier University and Loyola University School of Medicine. His residency and fellowship was obtained at the University of Cincinnati. He has 40 years of experience in Northern Kentucky practicing internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care and sleep study medicine. In addition to his extensive clinical and highly skilled medical experience, Dr. Huller has served in various capacities and roles at Encompass Health Northern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital since establishment.
Business Development Director
Missy has more than 20 plus years of healthcare experience in Northern Kentucky. She received her MBA from Thomas More College and holds Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification. Missy has a bachelor's degree in social work from Western Kentucky University and a Kentucky license in social work. She leads the marketing and admissions team.
Chief Nursing Officer
Betsy has served in a variety of leadership roles over the last 10 years. She has 15 years of healthcare experience in the acute care hospital setting and emergency department and achieved her master’s degree in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University and a master’s degree in business administration from Thomas More College.
Human Resources Director
Joining the Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth team in June of 2012, Bridgette brings 13 years of experience in a variety of human resource functions. She obtained a bachelor's degree from Northern Kentucky University in speech communication and a master's degree in business administration from Columbia Southern University.
Lisa has more than 12 years of healthcare finance experience. She began her healthcare career in 1995 as a staff accountant, advancing to business office manager, followed by controller. Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northern Kentucky University.
Director of Therapy Operations
Mary has practiced as an occupational therapist for more than 20 years. She is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. Her clinical interests and experience include acute rehabilitation, industrial rehabilitation, ergonomics and management. At present, she leads the inpatient therapy teams at Encompass Health Northern Kentucky, formerly HealthSouth Northern Kentucky.
Director of Pharmacy
Kara joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Kentucky, formerly HealthSouth Northern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital in 2007 as an as-needed pharmacist while serving as a pharmacist in a large acute care hospital for 12 years. In total, she brings more than 20 years' experience in an acute care setting. In August 2017, she made the transition into the role of director of pharmacy at Encompass Health Northern Kentucky. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Cincinnati in 2003.
Director of Case Management
Erin has more than 10 years of experience as a licensed social worker and holds a bachelor's degree in social work from Northern Kentucky University and a master's degree in social work from the University of Cincinnati. She has worked for HealthSouth Northern Kentucky for five years and currently manages the case management/discharge planning staff.
Director of Quality & Risk
Julie started her career at Encompass Health Northern Kentucky, formerly HealthSouth Northern Kentucky as the senior speech-language pathologist in 2005. During her time in the therapy department, she led the stroke and brain injury programs for The Joint Commission Disease-Specific Care Certification. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in speech sciences from Indiana University.
