April 27, 2026 – Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Jacksonville welcomed more than 50 attendees to its first community health fair, providing free health screenings, educational resources and wellness information from local healthcare partners.
Participants had access to a variety of screenings focused on cardiac health, oncology, cognition, nutrition, balance and vehicle safety. The event was designed to promote preventive care, increase awareness of health risks and connect residents with resources that support healthier lifestyles and improved health outcomes.
In addition to the free screenings, local healthcare organizations participated in the event, offering educational materials and information about services available throughout the Jacksonville community.
“Our first community health fair was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our neighbors and healthcare partners while providing valuable health screenings, education and resources,” said Tonya Schnorbus, director of therapy operations at Encompass Health Jacksonville. “We were thrilled to welcome approximately 50 community members and are grateful to our employees and community partners who volunteered their time to help promote healthier lives throughout Jacksonville.”
The event reflects Encompass Health Jacksonville’s commitment to supporting community wellness through education, prevention and access to healthcare resources. Due to the success of the inaugural event, the hospital plans to continue hosting a yearly health fair to help build a healthier future for Jacksonville residents.
