Mary Evelyn Brown August

Mary Evelyn Brown August is a physical therapist at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Greenville in South Carolina. As a practicing physical therapist, she provides inpatient rehabilitation services to patients recovering from a wide range of medical conditions. Her goal is to help patients improve their mobility, regain functional independence and achieve meaningful rehabilitation outcomes.

Prior to her current role, she worked in home health. While she valued the opportunity to care for patients in their homes, she discovered that her greatest professional fulfillment comes from working in the inpatient rehabilitation setting, where she enjoys supporting patients throughout their recovery journey. She especially enjoys working with the geriatric population and helping them maintain and regain their independence.

Outside of work, she likes spending time with her family and dog, lifting weights, line dancing and spending time at the lake.
