Stacy Thomashaw, M.A., CCC-SLP, BCS-S, CBIS is a visionary health system leader, speech-language pathologist and passionate advocate for innovative approaches to rehabilitation. With over 20 years of experience in acute dysphagia and brain injury rehabilitation, Thomashaw has dedicated her career to advancing patient care through evidence-informed practices.
Thomashaw has held notable leadership positions throughout her career and has spent more than 15 years in clinical leadership roles within acute rehabilitation and hospital settings, serving both adult and pediatric populations. Currently she is director of therapy innovations for Encompass Health, where she is committed to fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in rehabilitation services.
A licensed speech-language pathologist, board certified swallowing specialist (BCS-S) and certified brain injury specialist (CBIS), Thomashaw is also an accomplished researcher. Her work on dysphagia rehabilitation and rehabilitation discharge outcomes has been featured in esteemed publications such as the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Her strong belief in evidence-informed care delivery guides her advocacy for cutting-edge rehabilitation strategies that enhance patient outcomes and quality of life.
