At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Largo, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located in Largo, we serve the greater Tampa area as a leading provider of inpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology for stroke and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Chief Executive Officer
Tripp, a Birmingham, Alabama native, is an alumnus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received a bachelor's degree in finance in 1996, master's degree in business administration in 2000 and a master's degree in health administration in 2002. Prior to his current position at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Largo, formerly HealthSouth, Tripp served as administrator/chief operating officer at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Medical director
Dr. Kevin Creed earned his medical degree in 2004 from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He completed his internship and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation in 2008 at The University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Creed is board certified through the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Chief Nursing Officer
Glenda began her nursing career with Encompass Health Sarasota, formerly HealthSouth, in 2010 as a registered nurse. Subsequently, she was promoted to nursing supervisor then nurse manager. In 2017, Glenda was again promoted and joined Encompass Health Largo as chief nursing officer. She is originally from Illinois where she graduated with an associate degree in nursing from Trinity College of Nursing and Health Sciences and later obtained a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Florida. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Register Nurse and Wound Care Certified.
Director of Plant Operations
William “Bill” Donish joined Encompass Health Largo, formerly HealthSouth, in 2018. Prior to his arrival, he served as the director of facilities management for a large skilled nursing facility in Tampa. An electrician by trade, he has held several positions including a master lead at St. Anthony Hospital, and has several certifications in his area of expertise. Before entering the healthcare setting, Bill was a store manager at a CVS Pharmacy.
Director Financial Services
Since 1990, Judith has served as controller at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Largo, formerly HealthSouth. She earned a degree in accounting from Churchman’s Business College and has more than 26 years of experience in healthcare financial systems management.
Business Development Director
Brandon brings over 15 years of marketing and healthcare experience to Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital both as a Registered Nurse and a marketing professional. Originally a Indiana native, Brandon received his marketing degree from the University of Indianapolis. Brandon then attended Medtech University and Indiana University for his RN and BSN. Brandon served as a Trauma RN for 8 years and a case manager for 3 years before joining Encompass.
Director of Case Management
Claire is a social worker by trade and earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Florida State University. She spent eight years in acute care as a medical social worker and supervisor of case management. She has an MBA in Health Care Management from Saint Leo University and also serves on the board of directors for the Florida chapter of the American Case Management Association.
Director of Therapy Operations
Jouni joined Encompass Health Largo, formerly HealthSouth, in 2015, bringing a background in various hospital settings including emergency medical services and acute care to his role. He received a bachelor’s degree in medical anthropology and master’s degree in physical therapy from University of North Dakota. He later earned a clinical doctorate degree in physical therapy from A.T. Still University in 2011 and master’s in business administration from University of South Florida in 2014.
