July 27, 2026 – Boyd Davis has been appointed chief executive officer of Saint Alphonsus Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health. The 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is located at 711 North Curtis Road and serves patients following a life-changing event, such as a stroke, brain or spinal cord injury or complex neurological condition. Davis began his career with Encompass Health in 2010 and previously served as CEO at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wichita Falls and Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Abilene, both in Texas.
“I believe in the advanced rehabilitation care we provide our patients,” Davis said. “I’ve seen the power Encompass Health’s multidisciplinary approach has on a patient’s recovery, and I look forward to continuing this important work in Boise.”
With a background in physical therapy, Davis brings clinical and operational expertise to the CEO role. He is skilled in building strong physician alignment, developing robust relationships with stakeholders and executing strategies that increase patient satisfaction and employee engagement. Davis is also committed to quality improvement initiatives that drive excellent outcomes in patient-centered care.

Davis holds a master’s degree in health administration from Ohio University and a master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Findlay. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University.
Saint Alphonsus Regional Rehabilitation Hospital is a joint venture partnership between Encompass Health and Saint Alphonsus Health System. The hospital began serving patients in 2019 and recently opened a new unit of 20 private patient beds and a four-chair hemodialysis suite.
