July 30, 2025 – Saint Alphonsus Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health, is expanding and will be able to serve more patients beginning in the spring of 2026.
With construction underway, the hospital is adding 20 private patient rooms, bringing the hospital’s capacity to 60 rooms. The expansion also includes a four-station dialysis suite, additional dayroom for activities and group dining, and new walkway to better facilitate the traffic flow within the hospital.
“The population here in the Treasure Valley is growing, which means the need for rehabilitation care is growing,” said Joe Griffin, chief executive officer of Saint Alphonsus Regional Rehabilitation Hospital. “This expansion project is a true benefit to our community, as we will have additional space to serve patients following a life-changing illness or injury.”
The expansion project is expected to be completed in April 2026. Saint Alphonsus Regional Rehabilitation Hospital opened to patients in 2019. The hospital holds The Joint Commission Disease-Specific Care Certification for Stroke Rehabilitation.
