April 29, 2026 — Encompass Health, the nation’s largest owner and operator of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, hosted a grand opening Wednesday for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Concordville. The 50-bed, two-story inpatient rehabilitation hospital, located at 780 Baltimore Pike, is expected to begin serving patients in early May.
The hospital will provide essential rehabilitative services that help patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions regain function and independence. Patients will receive a minimum of three hours of intensive therapy five days each week, frequent physician visits and 24-hour nursing care.
“We are here to serve patients when a life-changing accident, illness or injury happens,” said Lauren Grieder, chief executive officer of Encompass Health Concordville. “I am confident we will make a tremendous impact on the patients we serve — allowing them to recover close to home and return quickly to what matters most in their lives.”
Hospital amenities include all private patient rooms, two spacious therapy gyms featuring advanced rehabilitation technologies, an activities of daily living suite, in-house dialysis suite, therapy courtyard, dining room, in-house pharmacy and dayroom areas. An interdisciplinary team of highly specialized nurses, therapists and physicians will provide physical, occupational and speech therapies to restore functional ability and quality of life.
