Encompass Health Wichita Falls celebrates expansion

July 9, 2024 - Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wichita Falls recently completed an extensive expansion project, including the addition of 21 private patient rooms and an in-house dialysis suite. The expansion brings the hospital’s total bed count to 84, enabling the hospital to serve more patients in need of inpatient rehabilitative care.

The addition of private rooms provides patients with the option for greater solitude and autonomy if preferred. The new in-house dialysis suite, which can serve four patients at a time, allows for immediate attention and intervention by hospital staff — ensuring the highest level of care for patients. This amenity gives patients the comfort and ease of not leaving the hospital for dialysis treatment, resulting in easier scheduling and more successful therapy sessions.

Building the new unit took approximately nine months. Encompass Health Wichita Falls opened to patients in 1997.
