Dec. 11, 2025 – Michelle “Micki” Storrs has been appointed chief executive officer of Baptist Health Rehabilitation Hospital. The 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, located at 11800 Bluegrass Parkway in Louisville, Kentucky, is a joint venture partnership between Encompass Health and Baptist Health.
“I am honored to be selected as Baptist Health Rehabilitation Hospital’s next CEO,” said Storrs. “I believe in the mission of this hospital – helping our patients return to what matters most after a life-changing illness or injury. I look forward to continuing to build upon the excellent care we provide our patients.”
Storrs previously served as associate administrator at Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana, an 80-bed hospital with an 18-bed satellite location. In this role, Storrs directed the finance, business development, quality, case management and pharmacy departments. She also managed the satellite hospital’s nursing, facilities, respiratory therapy and contract services. A speech-language pathologist by background, Storrs brings 26 years of health care experience from acute, outpatient and inpatient care settings.
“We’re pleased to welcome Micki into this role as we partner in advancing patient care and recovery,” said Patrick Falvey, Baptist Health chief operating officer. “Her experience across the full health care spectrum, including rehabilitation, plays a key role in coordinating services and helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes.”
Storrs holds a Master of Science from Bowling Green University and bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University.
Baptist Health Rehabilitation Hospital opened to patients in June 2024. In 18 months, the hospital has served more than 1,100 patients and achieved accreditation with The Joint Commission.
