Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lower Providence names first CEO

June 3, 2026 — Dianne Charsha has been appointed chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lower Providence. The hospital, under construction at 2660 Audubon Road in Eagleville, Pennsylvania, is a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital and is expected to open to patients in September 2026.

“I am excited to join Encompass Health Lower Providence as we build our team and prepare to open the hospital,” Charsha said. “The hospital will bring much needed inpatient rehabilitation care to the community.”

Charsha brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in hospital management to the CEO role. She is recognized for strengthening clinical operations, elevating nursing practice and driving overall organizational performance. Charsha is a servant leader in the healthcare industry and her community, mentoring emerging professionals and championing health equity. Throughout her career, she has held key leadership roles across acute care and multi-system healthcare environments.

Charsha holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Wilkes College. She also holds a master's degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate degree in nursing practice from Drexel University.
