July 7, 2026 — Mindy Hong has been appointed chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of the Mid-Cities. The hospital, located at 2304 State Highway 121 in Bedford, Texas, is a 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
“I'm honored to step into the CEO role at Encompass Health Mid-Cities and continue serving Texas alongside such a dedicated team,” Hong said. “I look forward to building on the hospital's strong reputation by fostering collaboration, enhancing patient care and supporting our clinicians in delivering exceptional rehabilitation outcomes every day.”
Hong is joining Encompass Health Mid-Cities from Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Arlington where she served as CEO. Her career has focused on inpatient rehabilitation, where she has successfully led operations, staff and special projects. Hong emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach in healthcare and collaboration among teams.
“Mindy is a proven leader with a breadth of experience in inpatient rehabilitation and a strong commitment to team development and clinical excellence,” said Craig Funk, president of Encompass Health's Southwest region. “Her leadership style and focus on collaboration make her an outstanding fit for the Mid-Cities hospitals, and I am confident she will continue to drive high-quality care and operational success.”
Hong earned a master's degree in healthcare administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. She also holds a master's degree in occupational therapy from Texas Woman's University and a bachelor's degree in psychology. She holds a certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
