Nov. 5, 2025 - Christopher Fuller, CEO of Novant Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health, has been named the 2026 Triad American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Ball Chairperson. In this volunteer capacity, Fuller will lead community efforts to ensure all Triad residents have an opportunity for a healthy life. He will also foster education around heart health and stroke awareness.
“I am honored to serve as the 2026 Triad Heart Ball Chairperson,” said Fuller. “I am eager to work with an outstanding team of volunteers and the AHA to drive change by removing barriers to health, investing in groundbreaking research, delivering impactful health education and advocating for healthy policies. It takes a village to make a lasting impact, and we must do whatever it takes to create a better tomorrow for all people in the Triad.”
Fuller has spent his career in the health care industry. A psychologist by background, Fuller has served in a variety of executive leadership roles. He joined Encompass Health in July 2021 as associate administrator of the Company's Kingsport, Tennessee hospital. After moving to the Triad, Fuller joined the Heart Ball Executive Leadership Team.

Since 2019, Encompass Health Corp. has been a national supporter of the AHA and American Stroke Association (ASA). As part of the partnership, Encompass Health and AHA/ASA co-develop educational tools and resources for health care professionals, patients and caregivers related to heart disease and stroke. Each year, many Encompass Health hospitals participate in local AHA Heart Balls and Go Red for Women luncheons across the country.
The Triad Heart Ball is March 20, 2026, at the Millennium Center. The annual event is a night to celebrate the AHA's year-round efforts to break down barriers to health in the Triad.
