May 8, 2025 – Former Dallas Cowboys defensive end and Pro Football Hall of Famer Bob Lilly is being credited with saving his wife’s life during a medical crisis. In February, Ann Lilly woke Bob early in the morning as she was experiencing a sudden, excruciating headache. Bob knew something wasn’t right and quickly called 911. Ann was having a life-threatening hemorrhagic stroke. She underwent emergency brain surgery and spent time on a ventilator, requiring a tracheostomy and feeding tube. After leaving the acute care hospital, Ann then admitted to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Prosper for physical, occupational and speech therapy.
KDFW FOX 4 covered Ann’s story and her celebratory discharge from Encompass Health Prosper.
