Dec. 3, 2025 – Luis Nunez has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tallahassee. The 70-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is located at 1675 Riggins Road in Tallahassee, Florida.
“It is a tremendous honor to be selected as Encompass Health Tallahassee’s CEO,” said Nunez. “I know how important our rehabilitative services are to the community. I look forward to leading the incredible team at Encompass Health Tallahassee and advancing the quality care we are known for.”
Previously, Nunez served as interim CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano in Texas and associate administrator at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wichita Falls in Texas. In these roles, Nunez successfully led hospital operations and strategic planning initiatives to optimize regulatory compliance, patient outcomes and financial performance. He also fostered acute care and community partnerships to increase patients’ access to care. Prior to his tenure with Encompass Health, Nunez worked in the acute care hospital setting and brings experience managing inpatient and outpatient wound care operations.

Nunez earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in management and leadership from the University of La Verne. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from California State University, Fullerton.
Encompass Health Tallahassee opened to patients in 1993. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission for Stroke Rehabilitation.
