Business Development Director
Lauri started out her professional life in sales and marketing. She began on the ground floor by selling advertising space for local news publications and later moved to marketing air time for television commercials. She gained experience as a supervisor by working as a regional director of sales. During that time, she volunteered as an EMT, and eventually earned a "glitter patch" as a nationally registered paramedic. While providing emergency medical care to people in need, she decided to return to school to pursue an education in nursing and went on to become a registered nurse. Her nursing career began in the emergency room of a level 3 trauma center. Lauri never dreamed she would be able to combine those two, very diverse, career choices into one position, but then she became aware of the unique world of an Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth, rehabilitation liaison. In July 2015, Lauri joined Encompass Health Petersburg as senior liaison. She was promoted to the director of marketing position in January 2016, where she is part of an exemplary team of professionals that provide a much-needed service to our community, and is proud to be a part of the Encompass Health family.
