At CHI St. Vincent Sherwood Rehabilitation Hospital, a partner of Encompass Health, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located in Sherwood and serving the greater Little Rock area and central Arkansas, we are an inpatient rehabilitation hospital that provides inpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology for stroke, Parkinson’s disease and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Chief Executive Officer
Lisa has more than 20 years of healthcare experience. Most recently, she served as the director of physician services at Saline Memorial Hospital before rejoining St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital in 2010. Lisa graduated cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor’s degree in health sciences. She is currently working on a master’s degree in healthcare administration. Lisa is a member of the Arkansas Hospital Association and the Arkansas Board of Health Education.
Dr. Collins attended the University of California obtaining a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1984. He later went to the University of Southern California Medical School and graduated in 1989 with a medical doctorate. In 1993 Dr. Collins completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Cincinnati.
Kevin Collins, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.
Director of Health Information Management Services
Elijah has worked in Health Information Management and Healthcare IT since graduating at Arkansas Tech University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree. He currently serves as the Health Information Management Services Director and Hospital HIPAA Officer for St. Vincent Rehabilitation hospital. Prior to, Elijah worked as the Medical Records Director in the acute care hospital setting, and as a Software Trainer and Implementation Specialist as an local Arkansas software firm. A current member of the American Health Information Management Association, he holds four professional credentials with the organization: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA); Certified in Healthcare Privacy & Security (CHPS); Certified Healthcare Technology Specialist in both Training and Implementation Management (CHTS-TR and CHTS-IM). Elijah has spoken at state- and national-levels during education summits over two of his career interests: technology’s role in health information exchange, and the personality and professional talent dynamics of individuals working together. In his spare time, he enjoys painting and video gaming.
Director of Case Management
Sharon serves as the director of case management at CHI St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital. She has been a registered nurse for 29 years and has experience in the areas of medical surgery, cardiac and orthopedic nursing. Sharon is a certified case manager with 11 years’ experience in acute care and rehabilitation.
Regional Director of Pharmacy
Alisa Chamblee serves as the director of pharmacy at St Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital. She has more than 25 years of experience as a pharmacist, receiving her BS in pharmacy from the Medical College of Virginia and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Shenandoah University. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist as well as an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Director of Quality & Risk Management
Shannon brings more than 28 years of experience in healthcare to St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital. Prior to joining St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital in Sherwood as the director of quality and risk management in July 2018, Shannon held positions in nursing leadership, clinical analyst for process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma project management. Most of her clinical experience has been focused around neurology, neurosurgery and orthopedic service lines. She also served as the quality manager for a large clinically integrated network (CIN) of physicians, leading payer contracting and quality improvement efforts. She earned her degree in nursing from Baptist College of Nursing and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Arkansas Tech University.
Director of Business Development
Kim has been a nurse for 23 years. She began her career with our hospital in 2001 where she has had many roles that include PPS coordinator, Case Manager, Unit Administrator of Doctor’s Unit and most recently senior liaison for 6 years. She is currently the interim Director of Business Development. Kim is a member of the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce.
Tony is the controller at St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital. He has been in healthcare since 1991, working for various providers throughout the US. Richardson completed his undergraduate degree in management, marketing, and accounting at Youngstown State University and earned a MBA from Texas A&M.
Director of Human Resources
Jeanne joined HealthSouth in 2012 at HealthSouth of Northern Virginia and came to Sherwood in 2014. She has over 25 years in Human Resources, most of it in the medical field. Jeanne has an Associate’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Purdue. She earned a Master of Health Administration from Indiana University and has a PHR certification, Professional in Human Resources. Her diversified background includes legal issues, employee relations, diversity and training /development. She works with local food banks and homeless centers.
Dr. Sanderson attended Arkansas State University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology with honors in 1968. He obtained his Medical Doctorate in 1976 from the University of Arkansas Medical School. In 1981 Dr. Sanderson helped open the first rehabilitation facility in central Arkansas. In addition to the services he provides as program director, he has a successful Internal Medicine Practice in Little Rock.
Dr. Bruce Sanderson is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.
Therapy Operations Director
Stacy began her career with our hospital in 2001 as a speech language pathologist. In 2011, she became the director of therapy operations. Stacy received a master’s degree in speech language pathology from the University of Central Arkansas. She is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and the Arkansas Hospital Association.
Chief Nursing Officer
Carolynn serves as the chief nursing officer of St. Vincent's Rehabilitation Hospital in Sherwood, Arkansas. She has worked in almost every capacity of healthcare over the past 40 years. Her nursing background includes emergency departments, medical/surgery nursing, obstetrics and gynecology, physician clinics, prison systems, teaching first year nursing students and finally increased responsibilities as a director of quality and risk management, director of chemotherapy and chief nursing officer. Carolynn has a bachelor’s degree in nursing and is presently completing a master’s degree program. She has served on many advisory boards and currently works closely with the advisory board for Arkansas State University – Nursing. She has been published in the July 2014 edition of the Healthcare Journal of Little Rock.
