Ruthmaris joined Encompass Health in 2005 and served as the director of therapy operations for more than a decade before becoming the CEO. She has more than 20 years of experience in the hospital industry, five of them in hospital management. She has worked in a variety of healthcare scenarios such as inpatient rehabilitation, trauma center and outpatient clinics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy. Ruthmaris earned a master’s degree in gerontology in 2009 and a master’s degree in healthcare services administration in 2016. All of them from the Medical Sciences Campus, University of Puerto Rico.

Dr. Ramis Sánchez completed his medical degree at the Universidad Central del Caribe in December 1988 and completed his residency training in internal medicine in 1990 at Saint Vincent’s Hospital Medical Center. He has been part of the medical staff at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Manati since 2008. During his 13 years, he has been the president of medical faculty and since October 2021 has become the medical director.

Dr. Ramis is an independent private practice physician.

Iris has more than seven years of experience in the healthcare industry. She joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Manatí in 2017 as a general nurse, in 2019 became rehab liaison and in 2021 she was promoted to senior rehab liaison; she is now the business development director. Iris graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Puerto Rico, and summa cum laude with a master's degree in health services administration from the Ana G Mendez University.

Yalitza holds a bachelor's degree in natural sciences from the University of Puerto Rico Cayey Campus and a master's degree in science with a concentration in physical therapy from the Medical Sciences Campus. She started as a student in the company in 2006, and then became a full-time physical therapist, team leader of physical therapy and now, director of therapy operations. She holds certifications in the area of neurological rehabilitation and trainings in technology of rehabilitation that the company owns. She has knowledge and skills in the education area.

Jesús has more than 20 years of experience working for the hospital industry in the areas of finance and accounting. He has worked for various industry sectors, such as; acute care hospitals and nonprofit organizations. He has also provided management consulting, accounting and contributions to other industries, such as; mortgage banking, restaurants, laboratories, and durable medical equipment companies, among others. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting, from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico. He is also an active member and 2016-2017 President of the Board of the Hospital Financial Management Association (HFMA), Chapter in Puerto Rico.

Erika brings years of human resources management experience to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Manati. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in communications and advertising. Erika also holds a master's degree in business administration and human resources from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico.

Emy has more than seven years of experience in the healthcare industry. She completed a bachelor's degree in social work and a master's degree in direct social work service, both from the Inter-American University of PR. The commitment to patients’ care, family members and teamwork are part of her professional characteristics.

Ana has more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has been working for Encompass Health since 2001. She first started at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of San Juan and then joined Encompass Health Manati as the health information management supervisor in 2002. Ana has an associate degree in health information technology, a bachelor’s degree in health management from the Universidad del Este, Puerto Rico and a master’s degree in health information administration from Medical Science Campus, University of Puerto Rico.

Angelo holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and a master's degree in trauma with a concentration in administration from the EDP University. Angelo has more than seven years of experience in the health care industry, with experience in departments such as medicine, intensive care, telemetry, operating room, labor room, NICU, pediatrics, blood bank, adult emergency room and pediatric emergency room.

Evelyn is the director of quality and risk management at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Manati.  She began working with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of San Juan in June 2005. In 2007, Evelyn became part of the startup team of the Encompass Health Manatí location. She obtained her master's degree in public health from the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico in 2019. She also has a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Evelyn is member of the Asociación de Calidad en Salud de Puerto Rico and the American Public Health Association.
