Sept. 26, 2025 — Jennifer Baswell, director of recruiting for Encompass Health, has been named to the Birmingham Business Journal’s (BBJ) Women to Watch award list. The Women to Watch program recognizes up-and-coming executives who are making a substantial impact on their organizations and who have big things on the horizon.
Baswell has nearly two decades of experience at Encompass Health. She has built and led high-performing teams, advanced strategic hiring initiatives nationwide and championed workforce innovation. In the four years Baswell has held the director of recruiting role, she has implemented enterprise-wide strategies to support clinical hiring across 170 – and growing – hospital locations. Baswell is also spearheading innovation initiatives that enhance consistency, efficiency and strategic impact.
