April 1, 2026 — Encompass Health Chief Human Resources Officer Tony Hernandez was recently named among Becker's Hospital Review's 140 Hospital and Health System CHROs and Chief People Officers to Know for 2026. This award acknowledges individuals who play a key role in shaping workforce strategies that propel hospital and health system accomplishments.
Hernandez is a seasoned executive leader with prior leadership experience at Regions Financial Corporation, PharMerica and Citigroup. His background includes expertise in organizational development, change and talent management, and business acquisitions and integration. In his current position, he leads human resources operations and recruitment efforts for Encompass Health's workforce of more than 42,000 employees.
