How to Eat More and Weigh Less

Hospital happenings

Medical and healthcare professionals, including ours at Encompass Health Savannah, have always been our heroes. We have many unsung heroes, too, including the environmental service employees who contact our patients daily—always with a smile, a warm greeting and a caring attitude. Every minute of every day is spent working to keep our hospital free from germs, bacteria and hospital-acquired infections. They are truly on the front lines of patient and staff safety during these challenging times and we want to thank them for being a valued part of the Encompass Health Savannah team.

Hospital happenings

“A garden is always a series of losses set against a few triumphs, like life itself.” ~May Sarton Lillie Williams and LaDonna Nash, COTA, went outside for their daily occupational therapy session. Lillie was concentrating on being safe as she walked from the gazebo to the planter, going down three steps and walking 5 feet. Gaining mobility and strength during rehabilitation is the first step to independence, and Lillie had an excellent session! Her activity tolerance and balance continues to improve each day, and being outside gave both her morale and progress a boost. And that is indeed a triumph to celebrate!
