At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located in Savannah, we are a leading provider of inpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology for stroke, brain injury and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Area Chief Executive Officer
Ricky Molina joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Bluffton as CEO in 2019 with more than 12 years of healthcare experience. He came to Encompass Health of Bluffton after serving as a chief executive officer at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Flagstaff, Arizona. After holding various leadership and executive roles in a range of healthcare settings from dialysis to long-term acute care to inpatient rehabilitation, Ricky continues to be motivated by his staff realizing their full potential as they support our patients throughout their recovery. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration/economics and a master’s degree of business administration from Norwich University. Ricky is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served as an officer. He currently serves as a “Big” to the Big Brother Big Sister program.
Medical Director
Dr. Novack serves as the director of rehabilitation medicine at the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah, formerly HealthSouth. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation having completed his residency at Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital in New York City in 1989. Additionally, he is a member of the medical staff at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah.
Dr. Novack is an independent private practice physician.
Controller
Oliver received a graduate degree from E.S.C. Pau in France with an emphasis in accounting and finance. Oliver also obtained an MBA from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. Prior to joining Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth, Oliver spent nine years as chief financial officer for a local home health care, hospice and private duty company. In his spare time, Oliver plays league tennis and enjoys traveling with his wife and son.
Business Development Director
Laura is a nurse with over 18 years of experience in the healthcare field. She joined the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah team in March 2020 as a senior rehab liaison and worked to help grow the team and market. Her previous background includes area vice president of business development with a home health agency, clinical management, nurse case manager and bedside nursing experience.
Director of Quality
Greg has more than 25 years of experience with positions in healthcare management and the sales industry. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Brewton Parker College. He is an Eagle Scout and a recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution Citizenship Medal. When not at work, he enjoys the outdoors and is an avid sports fan.
Director of Case Management
Molly graduated with a master’s degree in social work from Florida State University. She is a certified trainer in dealing with patients with dementia behaviors. With over ten years of healthcare case management experience, Molly joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah, formerly Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah in 2017. She remains an active member in several community and national groups including the Coalition of Advocates for Georgia’s Elderly, Greater Savannah Coalition on Aging, Community Healthcare Connections, the NASW and the CSWA.
Director of Therapy Operations
Shane has been employed at Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth, since March of 1992. He received a Bachelor of Science in athletic training/physical education from Livingston University, a Master of Science in exercise science and a Master of Science in physical therapy from Arkansas State University. He has held several leadership roles in therapy before becoming a director of therapy in July 2013. He joined the Rehabilitation Hospital of Savannah team in October 2017.
Director of Plant Operations
Kyle graduated with a Bachelor of Science in operations management from Georgia Tech in 2011. Upon graduation, he became a department manager for a food packaging and canning plant. Most recently, he put his analytical skills to use by working at Memorial University Medical Center in the quality department performing data analyses before becoming the business manager of the operating room.
