At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of City View, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located in Fort Worth and serving the surrounding areas including Burleson and Weatherford, we are a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, Parkinson’s disease, amputation, brain injury and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Chief Executive Officer
As chief executive officer, Janell oversees the daily operations of our Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of City View. She received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Washington University in St. Louis. Janell’s career in healthcare has spanned multiple settings throughout Dallas-Fort Worth, including large physician practice, acute care and post-acute leadership positions with the Baylor Health Care System, Tenet Health, Children’s Health System and Cook Children’s. Janell is committed to ensuring an excellent experience for patients and families by providing ongoing support to the outstanding clinicians and staff at Encompass Health of City View.
Dr. Donovan became the medical director for Encompass Health Fort Worth, formerly HealthSouth Fort Worth in 1995. As medical director, he is responsible for the care and treatment of patients who have experienced multiple trauma, fractures, head injuries, strokes and other musculoskeletal types of injuries. Dr. Donovan began his private practice in Fort Worth in 1992 after completing a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans.

Chief Nursing Officer
Mary is a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse® with extensive nursing and leadership experience. She returned to Encompass Health Fort Worth, formerly HealthSouth Forth Worth in March 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Science (nursing) from Texas Woman’s University. She is responsible for the supervision of nursing personnel and the delivery of quality care to all our patients and family.

Laurie has been with Encompass Health CityView, formerly HealthSouth, since 1999. She was named Director of Human Resources in 2008 and has over 30 years of rehabilitation health care experience. Laurie holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from The University of Phoenix.
Director of Therapy Operations
Sheryl was named director of therapy operations at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of City View in July 2018. Prior to this she served as the lead physical therapist for five years. She graduated from Texas Tech University’s Allied Health Science Center where she received her master’s degree in physical therapy and has been a physical therapist for 17 years with experience in long term acute care, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities as well as home health.
