July 28, 2025 – Pamela Reed has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala. The 80-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital is located at 2275 SW 22nd Lane in Ocala, Florida. The hospital serves patients recovering from a life-changing illness or injury.
“I am passionate about patient-centered care and seeing patients return to what matters most,” said Reed. “I look forward to leading the team at Encompass Health Ocala in providing excellent rehabilitative services for our community and surrounding areas.”
Reed brings more than 30 years of nursing, operational and executive leadership experience across acute and post-acute health care settings. She has held various leadership roles, including market CEO and chief clinical officer, within nationally recognized health care systems. Reed has a proven track record of driving high-quality patient care, strengthening clinical teams and streamlining operations.
“Pamela is highly skilled in creating a culture of collaboration and accountability,” said Lori Bedard, president of Encompass Health’s Southeast region. “She keeps patient satisfaction and outcomes as top priorities, which will enable our teams to continuing serving patients with the best rehabilitative care.”
Reed holds a Master of Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain.
Encompass Health Ocala opened to patients in 2012. The hospital holds The Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Certification in Stroke and Hip Fracture Rehabilitation.
