Oct. 28, 2026 – Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital The Vintage is expanding to meet the growing need for inpatient rehabilitation services in the greater Houston area. The hospital broke ground on the expansion in August with completion expected in July 2027.
The more than 10,000-square-foot expansion will add 15 patient beds, increasing the hospital’s capacity from 60 to 75 beds. The project will also include an additional entrance for ambulances.
“As our community continues to grow, we want to ensure patients have nearby access to the inpatient rehabilitation care they need,” said Krista Uselman, hospital CEO. “Our hospital has experienced high demand, and this expansion will allow us to serve more patients as they continue their recovery.”
Encompass Health The Vintage, located at 20180 Chasewood Park Drive, has served the greater Houston area since opening to patients in 2015. The hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions. Care is designed to help patients regain independence and quality of life.
