At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Richardson, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located in Richardson and serving the greater Dallas area including Frisco and McKinney, we are a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain injury and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Dr. Jones has been a rehabilitation physician specializing in helping individuals who have suffered from disabling conditions such as stroke, trauma injuries and geriatrics. He has 20 plus years of experience as a medical director with 15 of those years being with Encompass Health. After leaving his residency training program at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, he began teaching at UT Southwestern before he went into private practice.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Jones had a career in pharmacy, earning a Doctor of Pharmacy status from the University of California at San Francisco. His subspecialty is in medication management, pain management as well as geriatric medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Dallas County Medical Association.

Director of Human Resources
Ieesha Cannida has served as the director of human resources at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of RIchardson, formerly HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital Richardson since October 2015. She has nine years of human resources managerial experience. Ieesha received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in speech communication with a minor in journalism from the University of Nevada Reno, where she was inducted in the 2015 Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. Ieesha is originally from Southern California and has always had a passion for customer service.
Director of Health Information Management, Hospital HIPAA Officer
Helen joined Encompass Health Richardson in 2015. She has more than nine years’ experience in the health information management field. Helen received her associates in health information management from Mercy College of Ohio in 2009 and relocated to Dallas shortly thereafter.
Chief Nursing Officer
Olga brings more than 35 years of nursing experience to Encompass Health Richardson. Originally joining the network as a registered nurse in September 2012, she has had multiple Encompass Health career opportunities prior to becoming the chief nursing officer. She graduated from Bekhterev Medical College in St. Petersburg, Russia with a nurse’s license in 1981. In addition, she holds a master’s degree in economics and Master of Science in Nursing.
Director of Therapy Operations
Rebecca Lanman, MPT joined the Encompass Health Richardson team as director of therapy operations in 2019. Prior to her role with Encompass Health Richardson, Rebecca served as director of therapy operations at an inpatient facility in Mesquite, Texas for 6 years. She has 20 years of experience as a physical therapist in the acute and rehabilitation settings. She earned her master’s degree in physical therapy from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.
Certified Director of Case Management
Keianna has served as director of case management at Encompass Health Richardson for three years. She has more than 18 years of social work experience. An Iowa native, she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wartburg College and obtained a master’s degree in social work from the University of Northern Iowa. Keianna is also a Certified Case Manager.
Bree LeGrand joined Encompass Health Richardson in 2016 as controller. She has more than 10 years of healthcare experience in both acute care and long term acute care. In 2005, she received her Master’s of Business Administration at Texas A&M University at Texarkana, Texas. Since 2017, she has been a member of the Company’s Inclusion & Diversity Council. Bree and her team are responsible for assuring the hospital has equipment and supplies to treat the patients in a high quality, yet cost effective manner.
Director of Pharmacy
Ted serves as the director of pharmacy and oversees all functions at the hospital’s pharmacy to ensure the safe, effective delivery of medications to our patients. He is a proud graduate of the University of Texas College of Pharmacy and has rejoined the Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth team in October of 2015 having previously served as pharmacy director of the Encompass Health hospital in Plano, Texas from 2001 to 2007. Ted has more than 25 years of hospital pharmacy director experience.
Senior Patient Assessment Standards Coordinator
Rachel has 18 years of experience in rehabilitation, including inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and outpatient speech-language pathology. She earned her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Texas at Dallas and has held her UDS PPS Certification since 2017. Currently, she also acts as Encompass Health Southwest Region Patient Assessment Standards Coordinator (PASC) Representative as well as a preceptor to new PASCs in the region.
Director of Quality and Risk Management
Linda Ryan is the director of quality and risk management. She received her RN degree at Texas Woman’s University and MBA at the University of North Texas and has a background in post-acute brain injury rehabilitation as well as wound care. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and has presented nationally at the National Association of Rehabilitation Nurses. Linda is focused on improving patient care and clinical outcomes through developing, monitoring and coordinating quality measures and patient satisfaction strategies.
Area Business Development Director
Jay Voto was promoted to the role of area business development director from his previous role with Encompass Health’s local liaison team. He graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and has worked in many disciplines and leadership positions within the healthcare arena including pharmaceuticals, biotech, hospital, long term acute care and laboratory diagnostics before joining Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Richardson. Jay also served the City of Atoka, Oklahoma for four years as their youngest ever vice-mayor and councilman.
