May 27, 2025 – Shawn Myers, Encompass Health's vice president of pharmacy and ancillary services, was recently named among Becker's Hospital Review's 75 Hospital and Health System Chief Pharmacy Officers to Know. The list honors leaders who oversee medication management and drug supply across their organizations, playing a critical role in ensuring safe and effective patient care as well as mentoring and empowering the next generation of pharmacy professionals.
Myers assumed his current role in 2022. His current focus is propelling the pharmacy and respiratory therapy practices forward for Encompass Health by working collaboratively with the Home Office team, as well as regional and hospital leaders. Before being promoted to his current role, he served as Encompass Health's national director of pharmacy operations since 2016.
Myers is part of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and chairs the pharmacy subcommittee for the Federation of American Hospitals. He earned his bachelor's degree in pharmacy and Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia.
