Nov. 12, 2025 - Today, Encompass Health, the nation’s largest owner and operator of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, hosted a grand opening for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lake Worth. The 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, located at 9719 Lantana Road, is expected to begin serving patients in early December.
The hospital will provide essential rehabilitative services that help patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions regain function and independence. Patients will receive a minimum of three hours of intensive therapy five days each week, frequent physician visits and 24-hour nursing care.
“There is a strong need for our level of rehabilitative care in the Lake Worth area,” said Michael Leopold, CEO of Encompass Health Lake Worth. “We know our dedicated team of health care professionals will have an immediate impact on patients recovering from a traumatic event. We look forward to seeing lives changed and patients returning to what matters most.”
Hospital amenities include all private patient rooms, a spacious therapy gym featuring advanced rehabilitation technologies, an activities of daily living suite, in-house dialysis suite, therapy courtyard, dining room, in-house pharmacy and dayroom areas. An interdisciplinary team of highly specialized nurses, therapists and physicians will provide physical, occupational and speech therapies to restore functional ability and quality of life.
The 55,000-square-foot hospital will employee approximately 95 people in the first year and approximately 150 by its fifth year. Encompass Health Lake Worth is the Company’s 26th hospital in Florida, including one satellite location.
