Chief Executive Officer
Michelle joined Encompass Health York in April 2019 and brings more than 25 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience within inpatient and outpatient settings. She received a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Simmons University in Boston and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Worcester State University.
Dr. Sicilia has served as medical director of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of York, formerly HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of York since 1994. He completed his internship in internal medicine and his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Sicilia is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), spinal cord injury, neuromuscular and electrodiagnostic medicine, pain management, independent medical evaluations (IME), and acupuncture. Additionally, Dr. Sicilia has a degree in speech pathology and has served as a professor of PM&R at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., prior to coming to Encompass Health. Bruce Sicilia, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.
Director of Quality/Risk
Brian joined Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth, in 2018 and brings more than 25 years of diverse healthcare experience in areas such as patient safety, quality improvement, regulatory compliance and risk management. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Southern New Hampshire University and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). When not working, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys.
Director of Human Resources
Tanya joined Encompass Health York, formerly HealthSouth York in 2014 and served as the human resources coordinator before moving into the human resources director role in 2017. She earned a bachelor's degree in human resource management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management), in addition to serving on the board for the American Heart Association.
Facilities Management Director
Marc joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in 2018 as the director of plant operations bringing more than 17 years combined experience in residential and commercial construction management to his role. In addition, Marc has management experience in research and development and logistics operations.
Chief Nursing Officer
Julie has been with Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth since 2001 and has served as the daytime nursing supervisor since 2007. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from York College in 2000 and most recently achieved her designation as a Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nurse (CRRN®) in 2009. Julie resides in York with her family.
Director of Case Management
Lauren joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of York in 2019 as the director of case management. Lauren obtained her master’s degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2014 and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. Lauren has rehabilitation experience working in the inpatient and outpatient settings and is passionate about serving the brain injury population.
